PTO Mission Statement
Our groups mission is to promote the welfare of students at Verne A. Duncan Elementary in their home, school and community. We aim to bridge a relationship and bring home and school closer so that the parents and staff may cooperate in ensuring success for each student. We provide opportunities for building a stronger community within the school and advocate for the success of students by helping families keep informed of local district objectives and local school issues. We raise funds to help meet the needs of the staff and students at Verne A. Duncan Elementary School which are not provided for by the North Clackamas School District. *This may include, but is not limited to, providing programs that enhance student learning, assisting with student scholarships and field trips, supporting staff with grants, supplies and equipment.

What is a PTO?
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. Membership is free unlike a PTA and we keep more money in our school instead of paying national dues.
Who can join?
The nature of our group is that everyone is already a member! We do have an elected board but welcome all parents to assist in the event planning process. Our Duncan parents are what make our school special.
Why?
As a PTO, we strive to work together with the staff to enhance our children’s educational experience. The PTO works hard to provide our school and students with opportunities that would be out of reach without our dedicated parents who make such a huge impact.
